Terms of Service
Last updated: August 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Needo (needo.shop), an online marketplace operated by Needo Technologies from Miami, Florida, United States ("Needo", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Needo.
What Needo is
Needo is an online marketplace for the United States market that connects buyers with independent sellers, stores and service providers. Through the platform you can:
- Buy physical products listed by approved stores and sellers.
- Participate in online auctions and purchase auctioned items.
- Hire local and remote services offered by independent providers.
- Buy and sell second-hand items between individuals (Needo Marketplace).
- As a seller, promote your listings through optional advertising campaigns.
Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, products and services are sold by independent third-party sellers, not by Needo. Needo provides the platform, payment processing through its payment partners, and buyer/seller protection tools described in these Terms.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States to use Needo. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Activity performed from your account is deemed to be yours.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or that present a risk of fraud or abuse for the community.
Prices and payments
All prices on Needo are shown in US dollars (USD). Payments are processed securely by Stripe, our payment processor; Needo does not store your full card details. Charges will appear on your bank statement as NEEDO.SHOP.
Needo also offers a virtual wallet: prepaid credit you can top up and use to pay on the platform. The wallet is not a bank account, does not earn interest and may only be used within Needo. Wallet top-ups are processed by Stripe and cannot be cashed out to a bank account or refunded to the original card; only earnings from delivered sales can be withdrawn to a bank account.
Orders, shipping and delivery
When you place an order you make a binding offer to purchase from the seller. Sellers prepare and ship orders to addresses within the United States. Needo does not set or guarantee a delivery deadline: each seller handles their own shipping. Any delivery estimate shown on a listing is indicative, not a promise; only products imported through our dropshipping suppliers show the range reported by that supplier. Entering a tracking number is optional for the seller, so your order may not have one.
Store orders are held too: Needo keeps your payment and the seller cannot withdraw it while the order is on its way. It becomes available to the seller when you confirm you received the order or, if you never confirm, automatically: 3 days after the carrier marks it delivered when the shipment has a tracking number, or 7 days after shipping when it does not. Stores with an established track record may mark an untracked order as delivered 3 days after shipping; you can still open a claim. If you open a claim before that, the payment stays held until the claim is decided.
Auction purchases work with escrow: Needo holds your payment and hands it to the seller when you confirm you received the order or, if you never confirm, under the same rules as store orders: 3 days after the carrier delivers a tracked shipment, or 7 days after shipping when there is no tracking number. Some verified sellers with a track record are paid as soon as they ship. In every case, if you open a claim before the payment has been released, it stays held until the claim is decided.
If a claim is open on the order, the order is no longer auto-confirmed and the claimed amount cannot leave to the seller’s bank account until the claim is resolved. On auctions the payment also stays held by Needo until then.
If your order does not arrive, arrives damaged or does not match the listing, you are covered by our Refunds & Returns Policy (see /refunds), which sets out the deadline to open a claim for each case.
Auctions
A bid is a binding commitment to purchase the item at the bid price if you win. Auctions may include a secret reserve price; if the reserve is not met the seller is not obliged to sell.
Bidding in an auction requires a security deposit that is frozen in your wallet while your bid stands.
If you win an auction you must complete payment within 2 hours from the moment the order is created. If you do not, the order is cancelled automatically, the item may be re-offered, and a penalty of 20% of the frozen security deposit is kept: 60% of that penalty goes to Needo and 40% to the seller as compensation for the failed sale. The remaining 80% of your deposit returns to your Needo wallet. Repeated failures to pay may lead to account restrictions.
Needo may offer automatic (proxy) bidding: you set a maximum amount and the system bids the minimum necessary on your behalf up to that limit.
Services and escrow protection
Service listings are offered by independent providers. Depending on the service you may book directly or request a quote.
Payments for services are protected by escrow: when you pay, Needo holds the funds and hands them to the provider when you confirm the service is done or, if you do not confirm, automatically when the protection period expires.
How long that protection lasts depends on the booking. If you paid a payment request with an agreed date, the money is released 7 days after that date ends. If you booked with no agreed date, it is not released automatically: the provider must mark the service as done, and from that moment you have 2 days to confirm or report a problem before it is released. Providers with an established track record may release the payment themselves 3 days after the service ends. Confirming earlier releases it earlier; a claim freezes it.
If the service is not provided as agreed, open a claim from "My services" before that period expires. Once the payment has been released the app no longer accepts the claim and you have to write to support@needo.shop. While a claim is open the money stays frozen until Needo resolves the case.
Needo Marketplace (second-hand between individuals)
Individuals may list second-hand items subject to prior moderation by our team. Buyer payments for marketplace purchases are held and released to the seller when the buyer confirms receipt or, if they never confirm, automatically 14 days after the purchase. That countdown starts at checkout, not on delivery, so buyers should confirm receipt as soon as the item arrives. If a claim is open on the order, the funds stay held until it is resolved.
Seller terms
Selling on Needo requires an application and approval. Sellers agree to:
- Publish accurate listings (description, condition, price, stock and images) and honor them.
- Ship on time with valid tracking where applicable, and provide the service booked as described.
- Comply with applicable law, taxes and these Terms.
Needo charges sellers a commission on each sale and, where applicable, fees for optional paid features such as promotion campaigns. Applicable rates are shown in the seller dashboard before use. Seller earnings are credited to the seller wallet. To send them to a bank you need an active store, at least one delivered sale and a payout account verified with Stripe (identity and bank details); the minimum withdrawal is $10.00 and it always goes to that verified bank account. After connecting or changing your bank we wait 24 hours before the first withdrawal to it.
Promotion campaigns (Needo Ads)
Sellers may optionally purchase promotion campaigns for their listings. The price of a campaign is composed of the advertising budget (spent on platforms such as Google, Meta or TikTok, or on featured placements within Needo) plus a management fee for Needo, both shown transparently before payment.
Campaigns are reviewed by our team before launch. Refunds for campaigns are governed by the Refunds & Returns Policy.
Prohibited items and conduct
The following may not be listed or sold on Needo: illegal goods or services, weapons, drugs, counterfeit or stolen items, recalled products, items that infringe intellectual property, adult content, and any item restricted by our payment partners’ policies.
It is also prohibited to manipulate auctions (e.g. shill bidding), circumvent Needo’s payment system to avoid fees, harass other users, or use the platform for fraud, money laundering or any unlawful purpose.
Content and intellectual property
Sellers retain the rights to the content they publish and grant Needo a license to display and promote it on and off the platform (including, for sellers who purchase campaigns, in advertising materials). The Needo name, logo and platform software are property of Needo Technologies.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Needo provides the platform "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Needo is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid to Needo in the six months before the claim or $100.00. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, nor your statutory consumer rights.
Products and services are provided by independent sellers, who are responsible for them. Needo’s buyer protection (payment escrow on store orders, auctions, services and Marketplace; and the Refunds & Returns Policy) applies as described in these Terms.
Disputes and governing law
If you have a problem with an order, open a claim from that order in your account (Profile → Orders → Purchase history). If it was a service, open it from "My services", using the "Report a problem" button on that booking. The seller has 72 hours to respond; if they do not respond or they reject the claim, the Needo team reviews the case, with a target of 120 hours (5 days). You can also write to support@needo.shop and we answer within 1–2 business days. The deadlines to open a claim and the rules on who pays return shipping are set out in our Refunds & Returns Policy (see /refunds).
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the platform and the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use of Needo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
